Fact: Did you know in 2006 over 20 million used cars were sold in Canada?
Used cars out sold new cars by 25% and the trend is rising. In 2000 Canada saw record breaking new cars sales.
Over 25 million new cars were sold just in Canada.
However, the automobile sales market is changing. As the Canadian dollar grows in strength and business's head south
the Canadian market is changing from new to used.
Traditional New Car Dealerships have been continously expanding there used car inventory to cash in on this trend and this
trend shows no signs of fading as new car prices sky rocket because of new government regulations and standards.
The government has mandated these auto manufactures to increase there safety standards, the environmental friendliness
of there cars and the unions are setting the standards to wages. With the added costs attached to building a new car,
a car that once cost $15,000 to buy such as a Chevrolet Cavalier now costs $23,000.00.
